The National Dairy Council’s online Health Education Kits provide valuable tools and reproducible materials to assist with patient education. Encourage your patients to use these materials to establish healthy eating habits to last a lifetime.
The 3-A-Day of Dairy for Stronger Bones Health Education Kit provides tips and information on the health benefits of three daily servings of low-fat milk, cheese or yogurt. Tools include the Calcium Assessment Questionnaire, Power of 3 Planner, Wanted: Stronger Bones Patient Education Piece, 3-A-Day of Dairy Tracker, and links to scientific literature, 3-A-Day of Dairy recipes and more.
The Healthy Weight Health Education Kit is a valuable resource for educating patients on dairy’s role in adult weight management. Downloadable materials include a 3-A-Day of Dairy Weight Benefit Program Overview, Diet Assessment Tool, Scientific Backgrounder on Dairy's Role in Weight Management. There are also links to scientific literature, tips and low-fat recipes.
The African-American Health Education Kit provides tips and information on the health benefits of 3 daily servings of milk, cheese or yogurt for African-Americans. The WIC Health Education Kit provides valuable resources for WIC health professionals on educating participants on the health benefits of dairy. Tools include links to local dairy councils, patient education materials on topics such as lactose intolerance and the Dietary Guideline's food groups to encourage (in Spanish and English), recipes and more.
The DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) Health Education Kit contains important information on the role of dairy and dairy nutrients in promoting the benefits of the DASH eating plan.
